i found the character of this hotel met comfort expectations. the staff were lovely and accommodating. breakfast was one of the best i've experienced during my uk travels. little touches, like the radio playing classical music upon arrival in my room, added to the classy ambiance.
the fixtures seemed a bit worn, and refurbishment would enhance the experience slightly. the towel rail did not work. thankfully, the inconvenience was minimal given my short, one-night stay.

The staff consistently were pretty good, readily accommodating all needs. their professional demeanor and helpful attitude. i appreciated their attention to detail. They were always available to assist with directions.

the hotel has excellent positioning in town, allowing convenient access. local buses made transportation straightforward, particularly useful without a car. i easily navigated to nearby shops and eateries because of the prime location.

I appreciated the welcome note. It seemed like a VERY personal touch. the reception and bar staff. the bar offers tables outside, perfect for sunny days.
the parking was not that easy. i needed some manouvering when the car park was full.

the shower pressure was poor, and i struggled to get wet. other than a litre of bottled water, there was no drinking water in the room.
