Acceptable stay with issues
constant noise warehouse atmosphere
The room offered a garden view.
The noise was a real problem, I found myself frequently waking up throughout the night. It sounded like I was living in a warehouse, not a hotel. staff moved boxes near the room

canal view friendly staff noisy night old windows
the room we stayed in had a lovely view of the canal! the staff was attentive. the breakfast room was beautiful and comfortable. but the breakfast was delicious.
Unfortunately it was very noisy at night with many drunk people passing by all evening. the windows to the bedroom were old and only single glazed so all noises were very clear in the room. also there were stains on the carpet which were very noticeable. Strange clumps of hair were on the floor and on the welcome note on the bed.

a calm stay
great location helpful staff beautiful shower missing lift missing restaurant no room service
i found the location excellent for exploring the area. i could walk to many attractions. the staff proved helpful and polite once. my room featured a beautiful shower.

small room wall view
the staff was friendly and tried to help.
I booked a 'superior double room merchant patio view', but it felt small and not at all what i expected. the patio view was mostly a view of a wall. also, the room was quite noisy. I could hear every footstep from the hallway.

depressing view constant noise
the location was acceptable. it was fairly central to everything i needed.
The room i was given faced the back. it looked directly onto a brick wall and some kind of ventilation system. there was constant noise, and the view was depressing. The website pictures showed much nicer rooms.
