The pub on site provided a wide range of food (I had a lovely meal). Extra milk for the room was available from the pub. The location is great for a short stay.
I found the door to my lodge opened. The bed was stripped and a light was on in the bathroom but no one was around. Check in is meant to be from 2pm, so I expected my room ready.

Excellent Dog-Friendly Stay

Access was super easy, I got a detailed email before arrival! The lodge was quiet and spacious. The adjoining pub has AMAZING food and drinks with a relaxed vibe. A fan helped regulate the temperature since it was a hot day.
The restaurant had already finished serving when I arrived, fairly late.

Staff gave clear instructions prior to my arrival. I appreciated this. I was pleased to find chatty staff at the nice little lodge, an added bonus. The staff were generally friendly.

The location allows dogs. The lodge has good parking. It is next to a lovely pub. The lodge is located in lovely countryside. You need a car, though.

the noise was a real problem. i could hear everything through the walls. the neighbors were up late and their tv kept me awake until 2 am!!! the soundproofing is non-existent. this really ruined my stay.

this place was super convenient for a trip to west midlands safari park. it was also easy to access and find. the pub was lovely and affordable, i must say.
the walls were quite thin, i could hear people in rooms next to me at night. i found this disturbing.

The room was clean and modern. it had complimentary miniature toiletries and tea, coffee, sugar plus milk were also provided. the pub's fish was cooked perfectly. It all pleased us a lot.
there was a big green emergency exit light in the room that woke me up multiple times in the night though the bed was comfortable.

The walls felt paper-thin. I could hear every word from the next room. this made it hard to relax.. also, the shower's temperature was erratic. it swung wildly between scalding and freezing. i really hate when that happens.
