the carpet leading to the room was definitely not clean. i noticed a strange smell of greasy food, it was too strong. i really hoped the smell would dissipate, but it didn't.

I found plenty choice for meals and servings were generous. Staff seemed fantastic and helpful. Breakfast tasted gorgeous and was red hot, a positive. The location is very convenient for sites.

The room had modern facilities and was very clean. The breakfast was fabulous, and i loved the sunday dinner. They prepared packed lunches to order for my walk. So thoughtful. The location was quiet, which i appreciated a lot after a long day.
The carpet leading to my room was in a less than ideal condition.

Everything tasted fresh and was cooked to order (especially the breakfast!). The breakfast was large and sustained me through the day of walking. There were gluten-free options on the menu, very helpful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and i am grateful. They even provided a lift to and from Steel Rigg (so kind!). Everyone was so nice.
