charming stay

cute hosts local ale fabulous breakfast rear garden
I found the hosts very cute. i enjoyed relaxing by the log fire with a sandwich and local ale. breakfast was fabulous, the waitress was really good. Her service was really admirable. the location allowed us to see deer in the rear garden.
the room was noisy from the road. the kettle flex did not reach the plug from the table. these are very minor issues.

mixed feelings

small food plates expensive food
the shower was good with great water pressure and it was easy to use.
The food was okay. the portions were very small. i paid over £40 for two small plates of food, a side of chips, a medium glass of wine and a coke. It was too much. i left feeling quite hungry.

decent stay with some minor issues

convenient location friendly staff clean accommodation worn mattress reheated breakfast slow wi-fi
The location is great for exploring nearby areas like chatsworth house! buxton and bakewell are also easily accessible, i found this very convenient. the accommodation was clean, i must say. the staff were really friendly and helpful. They even catered to my food intolerance well!
The mattress really needs replacing. I could feel the springs. breakfast was disappointing, unfortunately. the bacon and black pudding seemed reheated, and one side of my black pudding was rock hard. the wi-fi was slow, too, a bit annoying.
