Wonderful Stay in a Historical Hotel
attentive staff turkish cuisine convenient location
During my visit, the staff were attentive, especially at the reception. The breakfast offered a good selection of Turkish cuisine. The location was very convenient, providing easy access to nearby attractions and the vibrant city center.
The minibar prices seemed a little high.

mixed feelings about this hotel
missed servicing disappointing breakfast
the hotel has a great location near the clock tower.
Housekeeping missed servicing my room one day. Some items were not replenished on other days. on my final day, housekeeping barged in with maintenance to sort something in my bathroom as i was packing, it was very awkward. breakfast was the same every day and nothing tasted fresh. It was disappointing.

The hotel offers a discount at its three restaurants I found this beneficial. Breakfast was included with my room It featured a good buffet. The inviting pool is located in a private courtyard I enjoyed a relaxing swim there. Staff greeted me with chilled juice and a cool damp cloth upon my arrival on a hot day that was refreshing.
The air conditioner had only one setting it was full blast This made the room quite cold during the nights.

temperamental shower elevator absence
I found a couple of things less than thrilling. My room's shower was temperamental. Adjusting the water temperature seemed like solving a riddle. the absence of an elevator made navigating with luggage a bit of an unwanted workout on those charming, but narrow, staircases.

The hotel is beautiful, matching the pictures shown. I especially liked the decor that provided a unique, old-world charm. The location is central and provides easy access to shops and restaurants.
I did find some maintenance issues that need attention. The shower wasn't working as expected, requiring some effort to use. Cockroaches were present in the bedrooms and the lobby, concerning.

the location was convenient, near the clock tower. i appreciated the courtyard with its seating areas and shade. there were antiques throughout the space.
The bathroom shower didn't work properly. I had to wedge it for it to work. there was no plug in the basin. This was inconvenient. i saw cockroaches in the bedrooms and lobby, which wasn't pleasant.
