Mixed experience. Some issues encountered

atrocious baconunused access code

I found some issues . the breakfast quality was not up to par. The bacon tasted quite bad. additionally, i found the lack of a dedicated reception area inconvenient. checking in at the side of the bar amidst dirty glasses was not ideal. the room's access code seemed largely unused, raising security concerns.

the location near the lake is fine, offering easy access to the cafe's outdoor seating. the food at the bar was quite good, and the standard english breakfast set me up for the day. it is a bit outside the city center, so the stay was peaceful (i really needed it!).

the towel rail in the bathroom heated it to an unbearable level, making the space uncomfortable.

the staff provided assistance with local information and were quick to fulfill requests. the free on-site parking was convenient, and the proximity to public transport made exploring the area easy. the hotel offered easy access to the ferry terminal.

the breakfast was very good. the hotel has a superb location near the pier and within walking distance. the staff have been amazingly friendly and helpful.

The room was clean, well stocked, well equipped. It was comfortable. The hotel itself has plenty of charm and great traditional character. The car park makes life easy.

Despite check in being from 3pm, our room wasn't ready. We had about a half hour wait. We found the room a little on the small side, even for a standard room.

The staff were attentive and hard working in the main building. They were always happy to help. The staff were very cute and made check-in quick. I am grateful for their assistance.
