a good escape
comfy accommodationtasty mealwell kept garden
I found the accommodation very comfy. It was well finished. the evening meal i had was very tasty, the ingredients tasted freshly prepared, and the portion size was good. breakfast certainly did not disappoint. the gardens and grounds were well maintained, and there was plenty of seating available.
i did find that the staff were not very attentive at one point.

the double room i occupied featured tasteful decor, and the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. it was clean, offering all necessary amenities. the room offered a view of the surrounding gardens.

The gardens were impeccably maintained. our room, oakhill, was light and spacious with garden views. It featured a separate bathroom with a large sink and a roll-top bath (a good touch!). i especially enjoyed meeting sharron. She shared a lot of knowledge about the area.
the shower waste hadn't been used recently, so there was a slight odour.

the hotel is tucked away from the main road, ensuring quiet. it is within walking distance of cromford, matlock bath, and matlock (this makes exploring the area so easy!). i found the location very peaceful.

Our bedroom had lovely views of the gardens. The beds were quite comfortable. Showers were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious restaurant meals in the evening and breakfast was also delicious. Such a quiet peaceful spot. I will definitely return.
