flickering light drinks voucher
The room was quite spacious. That was acceptable.
The light fixture in the room flickered incessantly. It took two complaints to get someone to address it. The meals seemed problematic. The first three options I wanted were unavailable, and they lacked naan to serve with the curry. The breakfast setup felt bizarre, because they offered drinks instead of room service. The room service I chose never happened, so I got a drinks voucher. I found this ridiculous.

lovely stay, minor bar issue
festive ambience friendly staff great food
i found the setting lovely. the refurbishment looked great, especially with the christmas ambience. staff was friendly and helpful. i ate a meal with family and the food was great, the menu had good choices and there was no long wait, despite the busy bar.
the bar seemed understaffed. i sometimes waited to get served and they did not have some drinks. a cocktail offer wasn't clear, it caused confusion at checkout because it was not two of the same.

the hotel has a bar with great decor and lots of nooks. there is free parking available, a bonus. the location is excellent, near the town centre and train station.

my room was nice and cosy, and it offered lots of space. tea making facilities were in the room. a fan was provided. the room was clean, aside from small marks on the duvet.

the staff were friendly and polite. check-in was efficient. some staff were knowledgeable about the area. staff are quick at clearing tables in the restaurant, and the staff are approachable and work diligently.

helpful staff cosy atmosphere tasty sausages
The hotel staff provided helpful information about the area! the bar and restaurant had a cosy atmosphere. the breakfast buffet offered lots of choices. The sausages were AMAZING!!!

cool room comfortable bed blackout curtains
The annex room was a great size! It was also cool, which I really appreciated. I found the bed comfortable. Blackout curtains and shutters ensured excellent sleep.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They quickly assisted me with extra towels. The check-in process was also efficient. This ensured a smooth start to my stay. All interactions were handled with professionalism.

The room had a spacious wardrobe for storing clothes! The bathroom featured a good shower. A work desk, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board were available for my convenience.

I enjoyed the pleasant outdoor space! There was plenty of parking available. The location is great. It is close to the train station. Dinner and breakfast were really enjoyable too.

adequate stay, but issues noted
cold roast dinner inadequate apology
the inn provided convenient parking near the town center, a feature i found satisfactory.
The sunday lunch was unacceptable. roast dinners arrived completely cold. the food was then microwaved beyond recognition. It was horrible, and initially, no one offered an apology until i refused payment for the meal.

convenient location friendly staff
I found the location convenient, near the town center (it made exploring so easy!). The breakfast set me up well each day. Staff were friendly and worked together, even sharing a bit of banter.
The TV signal was poor. I found it frustrating.

low quality ingredients milk shortage
the breakfast disappointed me. bacon and sausages seemed low quality. milk wasn't available and took too long for staff to replenish it. i feel they should address these issues.
