some issues with noise and service

loud extractor fanbroken temperature control
the room was next to a loud extractor fan. it did turn off between 10:30 pm and 6:00 am, but this schedule was not ideal. the temperature control was broken too. additionally, staff seemed to forget our bags when we requested a room change. (i found this particularly strange.)

Stylish Hotel with Great Location

stylish decorchristmas decorationsgood selectionexcellent service
The hotel had stylish decor throughout the premises. Christmas decorations were very flamboyantly fabulous. Menus offered a very good selection for both breakfast and evening meals. The quality of the food was excellent as was the service.
Noise levels in the rooms detracted from a stay, particularly with outside bar conversations being heard. This sometimes continued when people left and chatted on the street. It is a great shame there isn't better sound proofing as rooms are stylish and spacious and it's a great location.
Rooms
9/10
The room was well maintained and luxurious. I found the bed comfortable. The room overlooked a nice green park which added to the charm.
Location
10/10
The hotel is easily accessible from the airport. It is also close to the Royal Mile. The hotel's proximity to the University is a plus.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant and bar were a huge plus. I saw several Wimbledon and Euro football games on the big screens there. The quality of the food and drinks was great from breakfast options to dinner.
