clean room italian restaurant super clean area worn amenities cold water long chair
the room was clean and nicely decorated. i particularly enjoyed the italian restaurant. the manager ruth is great at running it. the hotel were super clean in every area too.
the amenities in the leisure center was worn. the water feel cold in the pool. there were no long chairs either so i couldn't relax by the pool.

Wonderful and Clean Stay
super clean room friendly staff perfect location
The rooms were super clean and airy. Hotel rooms often feel stuffy, but this one did not. The staff were very friendly, and the location was perfect. I found the food in the restaurant to be delicious and will definitely stay here if ever back in the area.
I found a slight inconvenience, the room was a little warm, but a fan was provided to address this.

The reception staff offered very easy reservations and a helpful check-in process. The team at dinner worked like clockwork. Louise in the spa was fantastic and professional. The hotel staff ensured guests felt valued .

The hotel features a pool, a carvery, and a char bistro. The spa offers excellent treatments and the hotel sits in the middle of town. Leisure facilities were accessible. I found several bars, including a rooftop area.

The carvery lunch was excellent. Dinner in the char bistro was delicious. Breakfast was good with separately orderable things. I found a lovely afternoon tea. I found the breakfast piping hot and delicious.

My room was spacious and modern. The cleanliness of the rooms was excellent. A fan was provided in the room and the bedroom was well laid out. I had a comfortable bed. All was very clean.

warmth staff excellent food shabby door shabby windowsill
the staff exuded such warmth. laura at reception was particularly helpful. the hotel's car park reached its capacity during a rain, but she arranged for a staff member to offer their space. he even provided a lift, showcasing a amazing level of service. the food was also excellent.
i booked a double room but upon check out, i was offered an upgrade. i was told that i had to pay extra for a "refurbished" room. i expected something better but the doors looked shabby. the windowsills were also shabby.

poor bar service messy smoking area
I had issues with the bar service. I asked the barman if the football was on and he answered "I think so". I would expect him to know. It seemed like he did not care. The smoking area was a mess with dirt and rubbish everywhere..

a nice stay
attentive staff plentiful options modern equipment
I found the staff particularly attentive. They were quick to address any queries i had (it made a real difference). the breakfast included plentiful options, such as a hot buffet and fresh fruit. i also made good use of the hotel gym. It has modern equipment like treadmills and weights, so i could keep up with my fitness routine.
the noise from a nearby venue was noticeable in my room late at night. i think thicker windows would help to reduce the sound.

my double room had a king-size bed and a seating area with two armchairs. the bathroom featured both a shower and a separate bathtub. the room included a work desk and complimentary wi-fi that worked without issues.

the leisure center included a swimming pool and a sauna. i noticed the hotel also offered a spa with several treatment rooms. there was a bar with a good selection of drinks and a separate restaurant area that looked clean and well kept.

the hotel is close to many shops. i found a cinema within walking distance of the hotel. the train station is only a short taxi ride away (around 10 minutes).

The grand staircase stands exactly as it does on the website. A cute sight. my double room was very comfortable. the receptionist, susan, was particularly helpful and friendly. She is an asset..
The chairs in my room had some noticeable stains. in the morning, the shower water was cold. I didn't expect this. also, the tv lacked the ability to stream netflix or prime, so entertainment was limited.
