mixed feelings about the stay

public transportbad cleanlinessloud doors
the location was acceptable because of its proximity to public transport.
Cleanliness was very bad. I found black hairs on my bed upon arrival and again after the room was supposedly cleaned. the shared toilet was located on the landing, and the shower was in another room. It was literally just a door onto a shower, not even a bathroom. the doors on our floor closed very loudly. I could hear everyone going in and out to use the toilet and shower.

an okay stay

perfect locationuseful windowthin wallsloud noise
The location suited my needs perfectly. it was really near my conference venue. i found the big window especially useful. I could keep it fully open while working to have fresh air.
The walls seemed thin to me. I could hear everything around me. doors opening and closing were particularly loud. i did not sleep well because of this.

a stay with issues

local feelsteep stairssmall shower
the location had a local feel to it, which i liked.
The stairs were very steep, as expected in a traditional dutch building. i could hear people talking and doors slamming late at night. It was quite loud. the shower was small. There was no storage space for my belongings, only some hooks.
