royal hideaway delight!
calming music high standards excellent breakfast helpful concierge
The indoor pool included calming music and self-serve water. Very pleasant. the lobby was excellent. I especially noticed the high standards of refurbishment. breakfast was excellent. I found plenty of choice. javier, the concierge, was excellent!

the physical location is beautiful. the hotel is close to national parks in france and spain. mountain views are great from the premises, i had easy parking access too.

My room was superb. It was comfortable. the bathroom was amazing too. the electronic toilet had an illuminated toilet bowl, a heated seat, and an automatic bidet function. Quite interesting!

really good food christmas dinner good tapas slow check-in restaurant availability parking charges
The food stood out. The quality and flavor were really good. breakfast and tapas were good at the hotel. i booked the christmas dinner, and it was very enjoyable.
checking in took around 30 minutes. the restaurants were full upon arrival, so i had to eat a dry, bland club sandwich. i also thought charging for parking in the mountains was a bit much.

spacious room clean room friendly staff helpful staff good restaurant distant pool no pool use long distance room location
the room was spacious and clean. the hotel staff seemed friendly and helpful. the restaurant was very good and so was the cocktail bar.
i was told the room was near the pool, however it was in the half of the hotel that was farthest from the pool. the use of the pool was included with the "upgrade" i never used the pool. it was too far away (which was a shame).

small room faulty air conditioning
the lobby was excellent, the building was nicely restored.
The room felt small for a supposed luxury hotel. It lacked a bathtub, just a very long shower tray was there. the air conditioning was not working properly. i expected more comfort and amenities for the price paid.

the hotel is a true 5-star experience. the food had unquestionable quality and flavor. christmas dinner was very good. i will return for more.
the cooling system was centrally controlled and not working well. the staff mentioned opening windows for cooling. the towel warmer was not functioning either.
