fantastic alfama stay!

I really enjoyed the hotel's location in the old city! it was super clean, the breakfast had a wonderful choice, and the courtyard seemed beautiful. the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They made everything easy! this was one of my favourite places i stayed.
the walk uphill with luggage was a bit difficult, the roads are narrow and steep! taxis had some trouble getting to the entrance, though it wasn't a major issue.

The room featured modern decor with minimalist touches and was quite spacious. I noticed the bathroom was well kept. daily cleaning service kept everything super clean and all amenities functioned perfectly.

staff at the front desk offered assistance with luggage storage before check-in and provided helpful recommendations, this made exploring the city very easy! the reception staff were attentive to needs, responding promptly to requests.

The breakfast buffet included a varied selection of items, from fresh fruit to pastries. I found it very fulfilling! the courtyard provided a nice area for relaxation and the hotel's secure access provided peace of mind.

used shower cappoor communication
I was not happy with several aspects of my stay. There was a used shower cap in my room. I also requested a shower mat. The staff gave me a small towel instead. I heard loud noises like chairs dragging and people screaming through the thin walls. The hotel's communication with taxis was poor. I waited almost 30 minutes for a taxi that never arrived, even though I was told taxis were the only option due to location restrictions. I ended up using a rideshare that arrived quickly. Uber is much better and faster.

the staff proved helpful. i appreciated the complimentary water and coffee facilities provided in the reception area. the rooms were both modern and fresh, contributing to a really pleasant stay.
the hotel location is uphill , made walking difficult. the streets are also hard to navigate for vehicles.

The hotel sits in a neighborhood offering an interesting experience. You can easily access the city center. it is very close to the cathedral and provides river views! trolley 28 is also easily accessible.
