convenient location friendly welcome efficient service
the hotel location was good for public transport, especially the number 63 bus stop right across the street. i walked to king's cross station without problems. staff offered a friendly welcome and provided good transport advice at reception. breakfast included a warm welcome each morning, with service that was slick and efficient, even when the restaurant was full.
the hotel room i was in was very small.

stained carpet ineffective air conditioning
the staff was pleasant. the bathroom looked lovely. i would consider staying again
The hotel room was not what i expected. the filthy stained carpet was quite off-putting. It really detracted from the overall experience. the air conditioning was noisy but ineffective, leaving the room stuffy. this needs immediate attention for guest comfort

convenient location excellent food poor lounge basic products
the location was convenient. it was close to both kings cross and farringdon stations. chef venu prepared prawn masala and chicken thalasseri for us. the food was excellent (i especially liked the prawn masala!).
the room was not cleaned to a great standard on a daily basis. the lounge was stocked up at 5pm with very basic products, and when it was gone, it was gone. there was not a staff member in sight (that was a bit disappointing). it's not what i expect from a diamond elite member.

chipping paint water stain
the breakfast was acceptable with a sufficient variety of choices.
The room was quite small. paint was chipping in several places. the bathroom had visible water stain marks. These issues detract from the overall impression of a well kept hotel.

poor shower facilities small closet
The breakfast was nice.
The room's shower had a poor design. After each shower, the sink and toilet bowl area floor would get wet. The coffee machine served diluted coffee, which i found disappointing. The closet space was too small.

my recent visit included a premium double room. this room featured two double beds which were very convenient. breakfast presented a large variety of options which i found satisfying.
the restaurant service did lack sufficient staff members. this situation did cause noticeable delays. the air conditioning did not function properly which cause the room to be uncomfortably warm.

mixed experience, some issues encountered
faulty air conditioning sleepless night
the air conditioning unit in my room was faulty. it wouldn't switch off and made constant noise all night. this resulted in a completely sleepless night.
