firm beddisinterested staff
The bed was excessively firm. It caused considerable soreness after a two-night stay. The brasserie restaurant served my partner a drink WITH dead flies in it, and then offered main courses i would have expected at a bowling alley. The drink was replaced, however it remained on the bill. The food took a long time, AND the staff seemed disinterested in our feedback.

the gym had several machines for workouts. i found the pool clean and a good size for swimming. parking was ample and conveniently located near the entrance.
the bar service was a little slow during peak hours.

the breakfast selection was extensive, including specific orders from the kitchen. the bedroom was clean and spacious, offering a nice view (i could see the lovely gardens). i found the staff to be helpful and friendly throughout the hotel.

the breakfast selection had good variety. i ordered specific items from the kitchen easily. the bedroom i occupied was clean and spacious (it was a relief).
i found my bedroom to be particularly noisy at times. i was disturbed at 2am and then again from 6am. the sea bass i ordered for dinner tasted sour, as if something was off (this was quite disappointing).

Excellent Stay at a Peaceful Hotel

I found the swimming pool to be a great amenity. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel (I appreciated their quick responses). We appreciated the breakfast with a good choice of items. The hotel grounds are gorgeous and offer plenty of space for walks.
The hotel rooms looked a little dated, especially the bathrooms. I found this disappointing given the overall quality of the hotel, though they were very comfy and tidy.
