decent stay with some minor issues

the location, right by the river, was a plus. i enjoyed breakfast overlooking the water. the staff were friendly (i had a good chat with one of them). the full english breakfast was also quite good.
the furniture seemed a mix of styles and conditions. some pieces were old and worn. i also noticed a broken shelf in the wardrobe. the lighting in the bathroom wasn't ideal for shaving.

I enjoyed the conservatory. I could sit there and watch the river. the river walk to the cathedral took only fifteen minutes. breakfast was lovely.

The hotel's location next to the river was fantastic. I liked watching the swans from the room. Breakfast offered many good choices and quick service. The staff was helpful..
My room did not have air conditioning. The hotel provided a small plug-in fan. I really needed two and then had only one outlet free to charge my devices.
