Acceptable Location, Disappointing Experience

unclean window high prices
The location was acceptable.
The room was small and lacked sufficient drawer space. The window was unclean and obstructed the view I paid extra for. The prices at the bar were very high.

nice stay, great views

fine setting excellent restaurant eco-friendly scheme drink voucher
the setting is fine with a gorgeous view of the clifton suspension bridge! the restaurant offered excellent options for breakfast and dinner. two bars to choose from. staff shortages seemed apparent, but the staff still did their best to assist. i took advantage of the eco-friendly scheme and got a drink voucher in exchange for skipping housekeeping one night.
the bedside light dimmer switch was not effective.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast included fresh food options. Staff offered attentive service throughout. the onsite pub features a huge outdoor terrace. This terrace offers views of the bridge. i consider this terrace a great perk.
Service
8/10
The reception staff gave plenty of information relevant to my stay. staff were generally friendly and did their best to help me. bar staff were nice. I did not feel interrupted when i ordered a drink.
Facilities
9/10
on-site parking was available, and i found it quite handy. the hotel is in a lively area with independent shops and cafes nearby. a taxi ride to ashton gate stadium was short, it only took 40 minutes to walk.
Rooms
9/10
the beautiful balcony room on the first floor had a view of the clifton suspension bridge. the room had a fresh, clean smell upon entry and everything was maintained to a good standard. the balcony was spacious and offered amazing views of the bridge.
