I was informed upon arrival around 7 PM that the restaurant was closed due to low traffic on Mondays , a detail absent from the website. This forced me to seek dinner at a nearby pub , causing considerable inconvenience. The room lacked essential amenities , specifically a functioning hairdryer and adequate coat hangers. I found only one broken one. The absence of these items was disappointing , especially after a long travel day.

The staff were particularly cute and friendly. The breakfast service offered a good choice of dishes. The building IS beautiful and holds some lovely memories.
My room was booked as a superior room but didn't match the quality of the example photos. There was a odd mix of furniture, like only one old armchair. I saw wool moths on THE walls.

A Grand and Quiet Stay

I stayed in the Garden room, a really good suite of rooms. The space felt grand and also very quiet. I found the grounds charming and full of character.
I did notice surface dust in the room , and this detracted from an otherwise fine first impression.

The breakfast was great , with a good selection of cereal on offer. I enjoyed poached eggs with salmon , a nice coffee option was also available. The menu included in-season produce.

The staff were friendly , helpful and professional. They showed me the Chapel , and their customer care was great , nothing was too much trouble. The owner even drove someone when a taxi didn't arrive.

The hotel is located conveniently and offers great parking facilities. I appreciated the beautiful gardens surrounding the building . It is a very lovely place for wedding venues.
