lovely getaway
helpful staff gorgeous building
i really enjoyed my time here. the staff were helpful (especially at breakfast) and the building was gorgeous. i spent some time walking the grounds, a pleasant experience.
the room wasn't ready when i arrived. this happened within the confirmed time after 3:00 pm, inconvenient. it would have been better if the room had been prepared on time.

themed decor comfortable bed bathroom design early closure moldy bread toast replacement
the room design was a themed decor. there was a train set installed on the upper wall. the bed provided great comfort, and i slept well. the bathroom was also nicely designed.
the bar closed too early. i think 10pm is an early closing time for a friday. the bread served at breakfast had mold. i informed the server, and she replaced the slices, but she did not change all the toast.

the gardens were well-kept and provided a peaceful area for a morning walk.

I appreciated the tea and coffee available in my room. fresh milk was accessible near the room. It was in a fridge along with bottled water. the walk-in shower in my room was spacious, and there was also a freestanding bath.
the chairs at dinner were uncomfortable.
