superior double room quiet atmosphere delicious food firm mattress slow service unavailable item
the room was a superior double room. it was so quiet and i slept so well. the staff were friendly and helpful. the food at dinner was delicious. i especially loved the desserts, they had such flavour.
our mattress felt very firm. it led to a poor night's sleep for my partner. the breakfast service was slow. there were several items on the menu not available, a pity.

relaxing treatment professional staff unavailable jacuzzi mediocre food
I went for a spa day with a friend. The treatment was relaxing, and lunch was very good (the desserts were tasty!). The staff at the hotel are a credit to the business. Everyone was professional, and nothing was too much trouble.
I was informed the jacuzzi was being cleaned after lunch. This meant we had nothing to do, so we left (it was a shame!). The food in the dining hall is mediocre at best, and breakfast was a disappointment.

This location suited my needs so well. the super nice team and friendly. I felt very welcome. i crashed in a superior double room, the bed was comfortable. breakfast was pretty tasty. It had many hot food options.
The bar wasnt great. Peanuts should be offered with £12 cocktails, not just crisps.

slow service inattentive staff
the food service was REALLY slow , with long waits. it reminded me of there weren't enough staff to handle all the guests. I had to actively search for someone to order a drink , and it was quite frustrating. the lack of attentive service IMPACTED my overall experience. i ended up spending less at the bar BECAUSE no one was around to take my order.

the room was very large, i found it toasty warm. the service from the team was excellent, i appreciate it. i had two wonderful treatments at the spa, they were relaxing.
i find the signage outside could be better, it's not obvious where the reception is.

the hotel has a very rural location. this makes it perfect for quiet relaxation. the grounds are beautiful and well kept, i found them fine.
