The garden room was spacious, providing direct access to the grounds. A nice touch. the staff delivered attentive service. I did appreciate that. the cocktails at the bar tasted gorgeous! the wood fired cookery course was also a great amenity.
The music played seemed cheap. It reminded me of an 80's department store, which seemed a bit out of place for the hotel.

Decent stay but some issues noted

warm roomslow service
The room was too warm. I could not adjust the temperature (even with the windows open). This made sleeping difficult. the service in the dining area was slow during peak hours. It sometimes took a while to get the attention of the staff. A more attentive approach would improve the dining experience (I had to ask twice for water).

I stayed at this hotel last week and it was charming. i booked the chefs table that overlooked the kitchen. It was amazing to see the food being prepared. the chef, master chef winner tom hamblet, was friendly and described each of the six courses in detail. all the staff were attentive and helpful.
