surprising stay

the welcome was really warm, something i always look for. the room was spacious and clean, and i found the bed comfy. sunday lunch was a nice start to my visit, good food is important to me. staff was always very helpful, a bonus for any traveller.
I noticed a slight issue with the door. It did not close completely. this allowed a bit of cold air to enter the room at night.

the station sits close to the inn, it is quite helpful if you want a quick trip. dorchester is easily reachable for a night out using the railway. this accessibility is an asset.

the double room include a modern shower. a waterfall shower head is installed there. the room was well presented and also clean and big. this space contributes to a restful stay.

The room was nice and neat, good.
I was not happy that housekeeping didn't clean the room . It states clearly that there is daily housekeeping, and I even put a sign on the door. Raising this issue with staff didn't fix the problem. This was frustrating.

the hotel has a large, safe car park. staff were friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. my room was nice and neat. i barely heard the trains despite the train station being right opposite.
the bar closed early at 10pm. it was a bit of a shame, particularly since i was staying at the hotel.

Breakfast was good. The hotel's restaurant allowed me to order other meals when i wanted. there was plenty of choice on the menu and it was reasonably priced. the croissants were inedible, they were so hard.

the hotel is next to the train line and station. it's in a convenient location. the hotel was very smart and clean on the outside. it's ideal for visiting the bovington tank museum.
