Really good Scottish Character

sociable hall large room
The hotel boasts a sociable main hall with a fireplace and log fire. We sat there both before and after our meal. Our recently redecorated room was large. The gardens and grounds are marvelous and offered views over the mountains.
The shower pressure was very low. It was almost nonexistent. Although I paid for the large beautiful room, it felt tight. The duvet was too thick, resulting in a dreadful night of being both cold and too hot.
Location
9/10
The hotel sits in a strategic area that provides magnificent views of the nearby mountains. Surrounding trails offer opportunities for hiking with fantastic outlooks. The area is quiet and peaceful.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel features a large reception room where guests are greeted by a roaring log fire. The hotel provides charming traditional features adding to its cute atmosphere. The ambiance in the main hall fosters social interaction.
Rooms
9/10
Many rooms include a four poster bed with views over Strathmore. Our room had been recently redecorated and felt spacious. The room featured comfortable furnishings and ample space for relaxation.
Dining
10/10
The hotel restaurant offers tasty food with large portions. Breakfast was excellent. The dining rooms offer amazing views. The menu features traditional Scottish dishes.
Service
10/10
The staff was excellent and very efficient. The personnel demonstrated kindness. The team's attentiveness contributed positively to our experience. They were always ready to help guests with inquiries.
