The water ran tepid pretty quickly when I attempted a bath. I had to boil several kettles to get it warm enough. There was also a clothes moth when I walked into the room. Seriously?!

excellent STAY

warm staffsmooth check-inlovely roomdelicious breakfast
The staff at the front desk was warm. She made check-in smooth. My room was lovely. It had a view OF woods. The hotel also offers convenient parking. I found the breakfast delicious, that featured fresh fruit.
The hotel room lacked modern updates and the carpet seemed old. THE television was also small.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast included fresh berry mixture. There was a nice fresh fruit salad too. Guests could also choose from cereals and pastries, located in a beautiful dining room and the staff was helpful.
Location
10/10
The hotel offers plenty of parking . The location is quiet. The grounds look very well maintained, with magnificent trees and lovely planting to admire and explore. It added a peaceful touch to the stay.
Facilities
8/10
The communal rooms were nice. They are perfect to sit and relax. The corridors are picture-lined. A lift makes luggage disposal easy. There is also space for weddings.

Acceptable Stay. Some Issues

wood panellinggrand staircasedated roomnoisy party
I loved the building. It really feels grand with ornate wood panelling everywhere! The grand staircase is especially nice. I thought it was gorgeous. I also enjoyed both my evening meal and breakfast, the food was very good and I appreciated it.
The room I stayed in had some issues. It felt a little dated. There were marks on the wall that I noticed. I did not get a warning that there would be a party night. It was pretty noisy!
