I found this hotel to be quite special. the location is ideal if you plan to walk the hills. the staff was very friendly. They were always attentive. the breakfast was lovely. The service was spot on, i think.
The room lacked variation in coffee and tea options. I noted that.

The breakfast had plenty of choice and the poached eggs met expectations.
I did not appreciate that the blinds are not full blackout. All the light came in very early, around 4.30 am. Proper sleep was impossible due to this. the shower head was outdated with no hose.

the location was acceptable for walking, i guess.
i was bitterly disappointed. the roadworks made access to the hotel a nightmare! they didn't properly inform me of the mess, and getting there felt nearly impossible. it was such a hassle, it soured the whole stay.
