cultural gem with minor snags

detailed architecture helpful staff very nice history
I was charmed by the hotel's architecture and design! the attention to detail really stood out. the staff were kind and helpful, always ready to assist. i thoroughly enjoyed the hotel tour, discovering the hotel's rich history. It reminded me of stepping into a living museum.
i found the walk to the room quite long, a slight inconvenience. it sometimes reminded me of navigating a convention center. the absence of soundproofing was also a minor issue.
Rooms

poor soundproofing noise intrusion
the room was spacious and comfortable enough.
i found the lack of soundproofing quite problematic. on one particular night, i could clearly hear the sounds of children running in the room above mine well past 9 pm. despite reporting this to the front desk, the noise persisted (it was really annoying). this level of noise intrusion is unacceptable for a hotel in this price range.
