the location near the a66 provides amazing access to keswick, penrith, and blencathra. the b&b sits just opposite a lively pub. i enjoyed countryside views. the host offered ideas for walks and places to see, he.
The room was on the smaller side. It was adequate though not overly spacious, a minor issue.

The breakfast room was lovely. I also had a very nice breakfast. The location is handy for buses to Keswick or Penrith.
The little towel in the bathroom had stains. The toilet was very SMALL i could barely move. The shower did not have a curtain providing little privacy.

The breakfast offered a good choice of well-cooked items. The shower had hot water with good pressure. I found the location easy to reach from the A66 road. A pub selling fish and chips was opposite the hotel.
The pre-holiday information indicated a luxury bedroom, but the allocated room was basic. The room was small, and the ensuite facilities needed refurbishing. The furniture, excluding the wardrobe, was poor and inadequate.

Excellent Stay for Walkers

I received useful local area information upon arrival. Dean greeted me with tea. Rooms were warm and clean. Parking was great. The gardens are lovely. Location is ideal.
The host did not hand over the breakfast forms. I was told to collect them myself the next day. The breakfast was good, but nothing Really good.
