disappointing details detracted from potential

thin wallsstained toilet

i looked forward to a beautiful weekend. the room did not match the website photos. thin walls let noise through. the lack of cleanliness included stained toilet seats. i found these conditions unacceptable.

The staff assisted with my bag and explained area walks. Breakfast included avocado, poached eggs, and smoked salmon. Dinner tasted gourmet and was reasonably priced. The room was perfect. It was clean and homely. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

The car parking was quite limited but spaces freed up later.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom included both a bathtub and separate shower. Toiletries were generously provided. Windows overlooked a gardenwith natural light throughout the day.

The restaurant offered a varied menu with local ingredients. The wine list was extensive, showcasing selections from different regions. There were several beers on tap, all were well-kept and served at proper temperatures.

The reception staff offered quick and efficient check-in and check-out service. Requests for extra towels and pillows were promptly fulfilled. The staff seemed genuinely committed to.

The hotel is near Cotswolds village, not far from Bibury. Outdoor seating provides a place to spend time. The village is pretty and there is a good walk across to Bibury.
