amazing decorlarge lounge
i stayed in a character double room. the furnishings included amazing decor and a large lounge area leading onto a garden. we even got welcome prosecco!
my room had a lamp with a loose connection i told someone about. it was not fixed.

i found the staff friendly and helpful. breakfast was excellent. the lounge areas are great. the rooms are wonderful.
the temperature in the public areas was a little cool.

The hotel provided easy access to several towns, including chippenham, cirencester and bath. Road travel or public transport can reach them. there are also lovely local walks. some fabulous local shops and public houses.

the hotel offers plenty of parking space who arrive by car, a definite plus. the building presents a lot of quirky features with some history.

the room seemed pretty decent at first glance.
i found a dirty tissue under the bedside table so pam definitely needs to go to specsavers. the mattress was uncomfortable and creaked. it made terrible noises all night.

the location was great, very close to the abbey and high street. the decor in the hotel was really good, and there were two bars. the main bar had lots of nooks and crannies. i also liked the ski lodge theme bar.
The staff did not greet me at the front, though the dining area was lovely. my table wobbled badly. It was fixed afterwards. i wrote to the hotel expressing my overall dissatisfaction. i didn't get a response at all.
