adequate but underwhelming
dated room exposed wires
The location was next to a police building. My phone signal suffered badly. my room, a 'superior room', felt pretty dated. i found some exposed wires under the bathroom sink. It just seemed like the hotel needed a refresh.

central location accommodating staff wide selection
The hotel is central. It is a few meters from the Prado museum. The staff are accommodating. Breakfast includes a wide selection of traditional dishes. Rooms are big. Bathrooms have complete amenities.
The tv stand was too close to the bed. I kept bumping into it.

attentive staff convenient location nice selection delicious pastries
The staff was very attentive. I especially appreciated javier at check-in. he quickly provided fresh milk and treats (a cookie and apple pie!). i found the location convenient for accessing many main attractions. breakfast had a nice selection and set me up well for the day (the pastries were delicious!).
the street noise was noticeable in my room during early mornings and late evenings.

the hotel offers convenient access to numerous main attractions and is within walking distance of restaurants and laundromats. it is also a short walk from the main train station, a great advantage for travel connections. the central location allowed easy exploration.

minor issues during stay
convenient location good dining poor soundproofing cramped breakfast area
the location proved convenient and offered proximity to good dining options.
My room lacked sufficient soundproofing, i could clearly hear conversations from guests in the adjacent room and this disturbed my rest (this was very frustrating). the breakfast area also felt cramped. Often, it was necessary to wait for other patrons to leave before i could be seated.
