the executive double room included fresh tunnocks teacakes and a nespresso machine, i do love such care. holding our luggage after checkout was great too, such kindness i remember. the huxley bar offered a relaxed atmosphere for evening drinks, a perfect night.
i noticed an open bottle inside the minibar upon arrival, dear. i reported to reception, yet a charge still looked later. i feel its important to mention.

a decent stay

I stayed in a double room. the location was very central. It made getting around quite easy (i really enjoyed this!). every room seemed amazing. Consideration was given to every little detail.
The cleanliness was questionable. i noticed a strong, artificial smell in the corridor from plug-in air fresheners. It seemed like an attempt to mask deeper issues. the lift was very small and the glass casing was smeared and dirty. It was not exactly cute.

The location was acceptable, providing easy access to nearby attractions.
My stay encountered a few problems. The bathroom door didn't close properly leaving a gap. I also noticed a stain on the carpet NEAR the bed. The second issue was the noise from the street, VERY loud late into the night.

quiet roomunexplained chargepoor communication
the room was reasonably quiet despite the proximity to the main road.
the minibar had an open bottle when i arrived, and although i reported it, i was later charged for it. resolving this took multiple calls and a concerning lack of communication from the staff. the promised refund never materialised.
