boutique style stay
boutique hotel generous breakfast friendly staff
the accommodation felt more like a boutique hotel with high quality fittings i found the breakfast generous and well cooked. the parking was very good on one level. reception staff were friendly and helpful i liked that they asked about my visit.

spacious bedroom comfortable bed extra touch
The bedrooms are spacious. I found the bed comfortable. Decor is lovely with thoughtful extra touches. The fresh milk came in adorable mini milk churns. I appreciated how spotlessly clean everything was in the room.
The food service was a bit slow. I expected it be quicker. I recognize that busy periods can affect service times.

The hotel has a quiet location away from traffic. The setting ensured a peaceful night. I found the absence of noise contributed significantly to a restful experience .

The breakfast was a good standard English breakfast. I considered the breakfast decent and satisfying. Helen was on duty and she was a real credit to the pub. The food contributed positively to my stay.

unavailable items poor customer service
My stay had a couple of hiccups. the steak and ale pie lacked meat. What meat existed was not tender. breakfast was worse. Several menu items were unavailable both mornings. on the first day, they didn't mention unavailable items until after i chose. on the second day, the excuse was a monday delivery.

average stay with some issues
warm room missing invoice
the room was quite warm, and the fan provided didn't really help. it was hard to sleep comfortably. also, the promised invoice never arrived even after i called to request it, it,s frustrating for business expenses. it,s a lack of follow through from the staff.
