a lovely quiet retreat

I found the room clean and the bed very comfortable, we both slept soundly. our evening meal was delicious and the breakfast was equally good. The price for the room and meals was very reasonable. staff were helpful, nothing seemed a trouble.
the room was very small. there was only one small window, and the outlook wasn't very pleasant at all. i hope they improve that!

Our dog loved the bed and treats they provided. It was so thoughtful. the staff were very pleasant and helpful, we had everything we needed. breakfast was delicious with a great range of choices. I especially loved the pastries. the room was cosy and very comfortable, i enjoyed spending time there.
the pillows were quite firm, i'd recommend bringing your own if you prefer softer ones.

The room was spacious and well-equipped. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. the bathroom was clean and modern, with a large walk-in shower. we particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed and the lovely décor. It felt very luxurious.

the hotel is easy to find, and has plenty of parking space, very convenient for us. the setting is beautiful, surrounded by the yorkshire countryside! the hotel is around fifteen minutes from the town centre.

The bed and pillows provided inadequate comfort. I experienced a notably poor night's sleep. If guests prefer softer pillows, they should bring their own.
