a weekend escape
easy transportation lovely staff clean room
I found the location great for transportation. It was so easy to get to the stadium. the staff during check-in and the housekeeper were lovely. (i even received a complimentary drink!) the room, a large double or twin room, was clean and maintained to a high standard considering its location above a pub.

mixed experience, some noise issues
noise level steep stairs
the staff was friendly and helpful. the location was also pretty convenient, close to the train station.
I was not thrilled with the noise levels. It was pretty bad. i could hear everything happening in the pub downstairs, late into the night. also, the stairs were quite steep and narrow, which wasn't ideal with luggage. the stairs were really steep.

sunday closure disruptive noise
the pub being closed on sunday was a problem. i wanted to relax there. also, there was a private party on saturday. i found the noise disruptive . i wish they had told me about the closure before i booked.

genuine smile efficient service thoughtful extra quiet atmosphere
greeting me with genuine smiles and efficient service. my room had thoughtful extras, including chocolates and cookies. i found the new bathroom well done. It felt modern and luxurious. i also appreciated the quiet atmosphere at night, as the location is set back from the main street.
the stairs to get to the rooms are quite narrow and steep, which might be difficult for some.

the room was equipped with a coffee maker, a kettle and a milk froth maker, alongside an ironing board, useful. the provision of complimentary water bottles, stocked up daily, added a touch of convenience to my stay.

spacious room decorative details convenient location narrow stairs steep stairs unacceptable resolution
the room was quite spacious and clean. its decorative details were nice. the location near the tube stop made traveling around simple.
the stairs to get to the rooms are very narrow. they are also quite steep. i did not receive an acceptable resolution regarding our negative stay (i have reached out to the hotel).

cheerful stay!
decorated room comfortable bed
the room was beautifully decorated it had a classic style. the bed was very comfortable too. the staff was amazing and so friendly and helpful i thought. they even helped store my luggage since my flight was delayed.
i missed having fresh milk in the fridge it was always a favorite. i've stayed here for years and the rooms look a little tired now. there are chipped paint spots and stained carpets that i noticed.

Okay stay near transportation
clean room good food steep stairs loud noise
The room was clean and had nice extras. The pub downstairs has good food, I liked eating dinner there. I had a Double Room.
It was noisy because of a pub downstairs. I could hear it through the walls, it made it hard to talk in the room. The stairs up to the rooms are narrow and steep. I did reach out to the hotel with some issues but did not get resolution.
