spacious room plenty parking good wifi noisy corridors slamming door slow refills
The room was very spacious and clean. I appreciated the plenty of car parking available. The wifi speed seemed very good also. I had no issues connecting. The restaurant even had vegan choices available to me. They were certainly better than other fast-food options nearby.
Upon arrival, the fire doors SLAMMING were very noisy. People walking down the corridor echoed, too. During breakfast, items were not refilled. I had to ask for milk and plates and I waited 40 minutes for sausages.

attentive staff good parking missing shelves motion sensor
the staff was really attentive. nicola at reception was very cute. good parking was available!
the shower cubicle lacked shelves for toilet bags. also, the motion sensor lighting did not cover the shower cubicle.

slow service missing order
I had issues with the service in the restaurant. I booked dinner for 7 PM, but by 8 PM I was still waiting for my starter. Apparently, the waitress did NOT put my order through. Breakfast on the second day was also A disaster. I had to wait until all other guests were served before they even took my order (I guess they didn't like that I hadn't filled in a proforma).

friendly receptionist clean room well presented tiny bathroom working rail cold food
the receptionist was friendly. the room was clean. it was well presented as well.
The bathroom was tiny! it really didn't leave much room to sit on the toilet, especially with the shower screen. i'm glad the heated towel rail wasn't working though, that could have been a hazard. breakfast was buffet style. The food itself wasn't very hot.

Really good Stay at Scottish Gem!
tasteful decor beautiful garden homemade food
The hotel was recently upgraded with tasteful decor. I found the furnishings fit perfectly with the area's Scottish theme. The grounds feature lovely and beautifully maintained gardens. The food at the restaurant was very good. It was homemade and nicely presented.
