appointed kitchen en suite bathroom town center
The cottage has a well-appointed kitchen. It contained everything needed to prepare meals. Each bedroom included a nice en suite bathroom with a shower. The location is very close to the town center.
Parking is somewhat limited on the premises.

missing bed downgraded room
the location was quite good, a short walk to the train station.
The room i received did not match the description. I got neither. there was no prior notification or apology about the downgrade, just an assumption that i would accept it.

Nice stay in a Unique Setting

spacious room nice decoration coffee facilities central location
i found the room very spacious and well-decorated. there were tea and coffee facilities, also an iron and a hairdryer in the wardrobe. The owners are passionate about the hotel and its history, something I appreciated. The location enabled easy walks to the town centre and the beach.
the price i paid felt higher compared to other options i had considered.
Dining
9/10
i noted no breakfast was available at the hotel . however, nearby cafés provide this service. it's only a 15 minute walk to the town centre to find options and a scenic cliff tramway takes you to the seafront.

A mixed experience at this hotel

comfortable bed beautiful decor shower mould street rubbish
The room included a well-stocked hospitality tray. The four poster bed was comfortable. I appreciated the warmth of the room. The room's decor was beautifully appointed.
I noticed mould hanging off the shower head! There was also mould all around the shower tray. The price I paid was above the average for other accommodations in the area. There was no breakfast included. The approach to the hotel was up a back street with rubbish! all over the street.

Good amenities and clean room.

travel cot great size hot water
I liked the cottage. The double room has enough space for a travel cot. Showers are a great size and I had space to move. Water runs hot with great pressure. It.
This means I did not get what I expected.
Facilities

The cottage had everything on one level and it was good. It had perfect facilities for my elderly mother. This included being warm and spacious, and comfortable for mobility.
Location

The location is near the center and it is good for access to the town. There is not through access, so it make the area quiet. It is great for visiting nearby places.

the veranda room was immaculate. nicola, the host, made excellent recommendations regarding dining and transportation options. the advice to take the bus to whitby instead of driving was particularly helpful.
the directions to the hotel initially made me question the location.
