charming stay at jesmond

lovely location really good breakfast comfy bed
the hotel boasted a really lovely location. i had excellent access to the city through the metro. the breakfast was fantastic and the staff were really helpful, that really helped. the bed was comfy, and the shower was good.
I found the noble suite expensive but tatty. the bathroom sinks were very low because they are under a sloping ceiling, i didn't appreciate that. there is no mirror, just a tiny round hand mirror on a bracket. That was inconvenient.
Service
9/10
the staff was attentive and friendly. they were also efficient. every staff member i came into contact with was helpful and knowledgeable, that impressed me.
Facilities
8/10
the junior suite had plenty of extra touches. a king sized bed was very comfortable, a real plus. the bathroom had a huge walk in shower and a beautiful bath and i really appreciated that.

satisfactory stay

unique architecture helpful directions slow service gel shortage
The building exhibits character and history. I loved the unique architecture. the staff provided helpful tourist directions to nearby attractions. It really helped me plan my days.
I encountered slower service than expected. there were weddings, and baby showers happening simultaneously. the breakfast involved an hour's wait. I was not prepared for that. also, the shower gel was not topped up. It was a little inconvenient.

Tranquil stay with really good care

warm staff gorgeous room
The room was gorgeous (it really was!) and our meals proved fabulous. The staff were warm and helpful, particularly Abby, who treated me with compassion, as my husband stayed in hospital nearby.
The reception desk man refused to help my daughter with my wheelchair due to health and safety issues. Fortunately, an elderly gentleman helped us.
Location
9/10
The hotel sits on the edge of a dene that William Armstrong gifted to the city. The building is listed and has original fixtures with modern features such as bathrooms.
Rooms
9/10
My superior double room included lovely, small touches like mince pies and bath crystals. The room was spacious and lovely, and it offered good quality towels and toiletries.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel has beautiful gardens and surroundings, including a waterfall that you can hear from the Dene. There is safe parking for motorcycles, a very useful amenity.
Service
10/10
The staff provided a warm welcome, and they were knowledgeable about the local area. The dining staff offered perfect service.
