Mediocre Stay with Some Issues
noisy roomslow service
My room faced the road, OH joy. It was noisy, with traffic CONSTANTLY whizzing by. the service in the restaurant was quite slow , even though it wasn't particularly busy. I waited an unreasonable amount of time for my order to be taken and then again for the food to arrive. I wouldn't call it RELAXING.
the room i had was very clean. i stayed in the arran suite and it was so spacious with lovely views. the staff were helpful and cute , this was very positive.
the receptionist took almost ten minutes to greet me. she was dealing with someone else , this was not good. wifi was very patchy , the tv is run on wifi. all the channels were buffering , i was not happy.

A reasonable stay overall
great sizecomfortable bedmissing robeslounge access
The room was a great size. The bed was VERY comfortable. There was a great choice of food on the menus, and the staff were accommodating.
During our time in the spa, robes were NOT provided. This is normally a standard part of a spa visit. I was also not informed how to access the outdoor area, nor was i made aware that there was a lounge available.

A Spa Day to Remember
calm atmospherebamboo pressurerelieved knots
The spa's atmosphere was very calm. It felt modern and cute. The therapist explained the treatment thoroughly beforehand. The pressure from the bamboo sticks relieved knots. This left me feeling refreshed.
I found the accommodations pet-friendly. My eve received a lovely welcome with bowls and tasty treats ready in our room. the cooked scottish breakfast started each day wonderfully, and the spa pampered me with a rejuvenating shellac pedicure. the staff were professional and attentive.
the bar struck me as slightly overpriced. otherwise our visit was flawless
