Dinner staff forgot one dish for the kaiseki dinner on the first night. We were not informed and had to figure it out ourselves by comparing what we ate to the menu. It took some time.

Wonderful Ryokan Stay

The shuttle services to the station proved helpful. I appreciated the efficiency and the service saved time exploring the area because local bus waiting times were long. The rooftop foot bath offered a beautiful lake view. The experience enhanced my stay. I also enjoyed the free coffee and tea in the lounge area. These amenities were great.
The dinner staff forgot one dish for the kaiseki dinner on the first night though! It took us some time to notice we were missing a dish. We had to compare what we ate to the provided menu.

mixed feelings about my stay

icy rooftop
we booked dinner for our last night, a japanese meal in our room, but it never happened. there was no explanation or apology from the staff. the rooftop foot spa became an ice rink after rain, and the coffee tokens provided were less than excellent.
