wonderful ryokan experience

the public bath had multiple areas like a sauna and massage chairs. i found the ryokan style room very special as it provided a immersive japanese experience plus a private onsen. the hotel staff were receptive when i checked in past the scheduled time. the breakfast was also the most comprehensive i experienced during my japan trip i liked this very much.
i felt that the coffee provided by tokens near the lobby could have been improved given the overall price point of my stay it was acceptable though.

The room included a western-style bedroom and a tatami room. It also featured an in-room sauna for relaxation i also enjoyed the spacious layout. the futon beds on the tatami were unexpectedly comfortable offering a restful night's sleep.

the onsen was gorgeous, i felt relaxed. the staff was very accommodating. the facilities were nice, and i took advantage of the various amenities. the breakfast was a great fusion, and i enjoyed the variety of options.
i found that the location, while convenient, had some noise from nearby traffic. this was noticeable at certain times of the day. perhaps soundproofing in the rooms could help to mitigate this issue.

mixed feelings about my stay

icy rooftop
we booked dinner for our last night, a japanese meal in our room, but it never happened. there was no explanation or apology from the staff. the rooftop foot spa became an ice rink after rain, and the coffee tokens provided were less than excellent.
