black mold broken fixture
the building had a beautiful exterior and the bar was nice.
The room felt quite small. There was hardly any space to move around the bed. black mold covered the shower tray, concerning. additionally, the towel rail was hanging off the wall (it seemed like the room needed some maintenance).

great steak efficient service friendly staff
the pub had a nice selection of ales available in the bar. i enjoyed an excellent steak and ale pie, served with chips and onion rings in the bar area. the staff was good and provided quick service (i liked their smiles!). i found it very dog friendly.

mixed experience overall
small room street noise
The room i booked, a 'double or twin room bathroom', was smaller than expected. it barely had enough space to move around (i think it was around 12 square meters maybe less). also, the noise from the street at night was quite noticeable. I could hear cars and people until late. i brought earplugs with me (thank goodness), but it still bothered me a bit.
