The room had air conditioning, a lifesaver during the hot days. The bathroom included both a shower cubicle AND a big bath!!! The bedding was super comfy.
There was just one small thing, I noticed a very slight delay in the service at the tables.

the modern decor was very tastefully done. a lovely touch to see complimentary gin was in the room. the staff are friendly and.
reception told us there was no hot food until the evening , we had hoped to have lunch but they could only manage a bacon sandwich. the room was very cold and we had to ask the reception to turn on the heating. there was only one food menu for the hotel and when i questioned this i was, the menu was also limited.

The bacon sandwich I had for lunch was not great. It was disappointing that there wasn't any hot food available until evening. I also found the room quite cold on arrival. It needed the heating turned on , and then again later after dinner , because it was still too cold.

the room featured a large comfortable bed and an en-suite bathroom. i noticed plenty of usb and plug sockets available (very convenient). the illy coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. rituals shampoo and conditioner were provided.
the food menu was a bit limited for lunchtime.

the beautiful king room was spacious and well-appointed, showcasing a modern design. i appreciated the separate three-way shower and egg-shaped bath (it was very stylish). the room decor was tasteful, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere.

the hotel is situated in lovely surroundings, offering a quiet rural setting. it is a good location for visiting hadrian's wall, with english heritage visitor centres nearby. the site provides easy access from the motorway.

i found good service both at reception and during breakfast. the staff were friendly and helpful. the restaurant, bar, and library provided excellent service for dining and relaxation.

The room decor features panelled walls. A comfy king bed provided great sleep. The bathroom has a roll top bath. I especially appreciated the complimentary gin and beer in the fridge.
Pillows were too firm. I would love a choice of soft or medium.

Breakfast offered a GREAT selection with quality ingredients for every taste. Lunch included reasonably priced options!). The Oak dining room provided a lovely ambiance for meals.
