central stationinconsistent room service
The location near Central Station was acceptable (it made getting around easy).
I found the room service inconsistent. They did not clean used glasses and mugs, so i ended up rinsing them myself in the bathroom. Rubbish was left if i didn't place it directly in the bin, a detail i found disappointing.

the room had a big tv. i found the beds comfy. i liked i could order pillows to the room.
i noticed a slight smell in the lobby. it was like room spray trying to cover something else up.
the location had easy access to the city. the staff were friendly and helpful. my standard queen room was a perfect size for my needs.
The air conditioning was set too cold. I couldn't adjust it. i found the bathrooms to be not as clean as i expected. the elevators had issues and broke down a couple of times.

service issues detract from otherwise acceptable stay
late check-inpoor communication
check-in was problematic. i arrived slightly before the stated check-in time and was told my room was not ready yet. i was assured i would receive a call when it became available. i waited in the reception area, directly in front of the desk, but never got a call. after a considerable wait, i approached the counter and my room was suddenly ready. this lack of communication was frustrating and a poor start to my stay. the late check-in coupled with an early check-out seemed like poor value.

the location was good, close to central station, though the surrounding area felt a little unsafe at night.
My room wasn't very clean. there was a clump of hair in the shower and the phone had some sticky stuff on it. I think it needs a deep clean.
