nice golf coursedusty roomold furniture
the grounds looked quite nice, especially the golf course. it did appear rather fine from a distance.
I found the room dusty, it bothered me. there were numerous marks on the walls, a big turnoff. the bathroom also needed a good scrub. I expected better for the price. the furniture was quite old as well.

The staff was very attentive from arrival to departure. I liked the rear garden area with its tall Oak Tree. Our Beautiful King room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable (I slept like a baby!).
The dessert menu was not offered during dinner. I would have appreciated a chance to see what options were available. I love dessert and this was unfortunate.

Dinner in Cairns restaurant included very good options. Breakfast was freshly cooked and quite tasty. I especially appreciated the Sri Lankan curry options for dinner (so flavorful!). The dining area was very inviting.

The staff was friendly!
The bathroom smelled strongly of drains. The smell came and went. I also noticed a leak under the sink when I stored my washbag. This might have made the smell worse.

the staff offered warm welcomes to both me and my dog, showing true hospitality. breakfast was a treat with freshly cooked items. i particularly admired the high quality of the food served.
the shower's water pressure was slightly low, which i found a minor inconvenience.

the room was overpriced, i felt there wasnt a lot of value for money. the restaurant at the back of the house seemed like an airport lounge, it lacked atmosphere and character. the food had no taste and was bland. cocktails were POORLY made.

awkward tv positionvisible cobwebs
The tv was positioned awkwardly. it was fixed at a right angle to the bed. also, cobwebs were present on the central light in the room. the room was clean. But these details were noticeable. i found these aspects detracted from the overall experience.
