Acceptable stay, some minor issues
helpful staff fresh breakfast sewage smell elevator noise
The breakfast was good, and everything tasted fresh. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I appreciated their service. The hotel's location near the station was convenient.
I noticed a sewage smell in the corridor leading to my room. I also found the noise from the elevator quite loud since my room was right next to it.

roman theme modern rooms roman courtyard late check-in expensive drinks high parking
The hotel frontage had a classic mid-Victorian Railway style. I found this building to have a Roman theme, quite interesting. The hotel repurposed a multilevel bank into modern rooms (I especially liked this detail). The gardens also presented a Roman courtyard theme.
Check-in at 4 pm felt a bit late. I prefer 3 pm, as most hotels offer this. The parking fee of £30 was quite high.

Comfortable Stay and Great Service
free drinks spacious room
The staff was very kind and gave us free drinks vouchers as they knew it was my partner's birthday. The room was clean and spacious. Dressing gowns and slippers were provided with nice toiletries. I enjoyed breakfast very much!

convenient location buffet breakfast excellent shower little storage cramped bathroom large chair
the location was convenient, about a ten minute walk into the city center. the buffet breakfast was good i appreciated the variety. the shower was excellent i found it very refreshing.
the room i was given had little storage space. the bathroom felt cramped. the chairs in the restaurant were too large, they felt low for the height of the tables.
