central stay
helpful staff early check-in rooftop view central location
The front desk staff was helpful. they stored our luggage before our room was ready. they called us early to let us know the room was available. the rooftop had a nice view and a seasonal drink. Vino tinto de verano. the location was walkable to many sites.
the air conditioning was locked on heating, it made the room stuffy. i was told to open the window, but it was noisy. the shower head sprayed sparsely.

A Solid Stay Near Gran Via
spacious mini-suite separate toilet convenient seating
My mini-suite on the seventh floor was spacious. It included a seating area and a balcony with city views. A separate toilet and bidet were convenient. The sink area and walk-in shower were easy to use with the right temperature.

The Beautiful Double included a good view of the plaza. The room was spacious, well appointed, and designed. Amenities were complete, and the temperature was perfect.

The bar prices were reasonable. A prosecco and a beer cost less than £10. I did not have breakfast there. the roof bar offered excellent views.

spacious room queen size bed hotel room essentials dark lift area poor suite practicality limited surface
The room, a Beautiful Double Room, was quite spacious. It was super clean and the queen size bed was so large. I really liked that hotel room essentials were all available.
The lift area, it was a little dark. The entrance flooring up to the roof top pool needs refurb. The practicality of the suite was very poor with little surfaces to put items.

sloping bed terrible view
the bed sloped to the side. this made it difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position. also, the view was terrible, it faced a white wall. opening the window in the morning exposed me to the smell from the breakfast exhaust fan.

coffee making facilities friendly staff unheated pool limited availability
the room had tea and coffee making facilities. a mini bar was also available (useful for cold drinks). the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. they helped with any requests i had.
the pool was unheated. non-hotel guests could rent beds, which limited availability for hotel guests. i felt this was unfair.
