Excellent Hospitality and Great Location

The room was tidy and had everything I needed. The location was a short walk from the city centre. I enjoyed access to the Club Lounge. It included a buffet-style breakfast plus afternoon drinks. There was an excellent selection of breakfast food. I enjoyed the Scottish style options, yogurts, fruits, cheese, juice, and tasty coffee.

My room was located above the supplier entrance, and the central air conditioning unit made a lot of noise 24 hours a day. I could not open the window. Nothing was done about my complaint about this issue, though I received a free spa day as compensation.

The staff was helpful and very polite. Reception floor staff were diligent, one young man paying particular attention to the area outside the entrance keeping it free from any debris.

The hotel has a great location for the Usher Hall. It is right across the road. The location was also convenient for the city centre. It made it easy to explore local attractions.

The room was exceedingly very comfy and tidy. I had a restful experience. The suite was spotlessly clean and had a lovely castle view. I would certainly book this type of room again for the view alone.

i was a little disappointed with a few aspects of my stay. the breakfast service felt disorganized. the staff seemed overwhelmed during peak hours and my coffee was cold on multiple occasions! also, i didn't realize there would be a deposit required, it felt a bit old-fashioned.
