such a great castle experience!
fine venue spacious bedroom comfortable bed
i thought the venue was so fine. our bedroom seemed very spacious. the bed had great comfort. i loved the breakfast a lot.
i think the rooms can be cleaner, i found hairs on the floor.

the safe parking was a nice bonus, because it had ample room. the location is close enough to the town but out of the way too, this provides tranquility. the castle interior felt stylish with great history.

the breakfast food was top notch. there were delicious vegetarian dishes for dinner. the restaurant team were attentive and charming, they took great care of us, lovely.

Underwhelming Ambiance, Good Food.
dreary ambiance lacking flair
The breakfast was freshly cooked. That was a welcome change.
The castle's general ambiance felt dreary to me. The decor looked like a warehouse catalogue selection, lacking flair. I found it disappointing.

excellent castle stay
clean room comfortable bed fluffy towel local food
the castle lit against the evening sky looked very excellent. staff members were cute and professional. i found the room clean with a comfortable bed. the hotel also provided fluffy towels plus robes and a selection of teas and coffees. breakfast featured locally sourced food.

the hotel sits just outside the town centre. all-day free parking is available to guests. i did appreciate the option of leaving my car parked without further charges throughout my stay.

professional staff clean room comfortable bed dry beef awful pudding sunday dinner
The staff was very professional and cute. Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable! Fluffy towels and robes were provided, along with a nice tea and coffee selection.
The beef tasted like dry braised blocks at Sunday dinner. The Yorkshire puddings also were not good. They tasted awful and stodgy. It is a shame because they used to be great.

a romantic castle escape
beautiful decor attentive staff
The building is fabulous with beautiful decor. our room included dressing gowns and even a flask of iced water. The attention to detail was clear. I felt so cared for. the staff were amazing and made sure we wanted for nothing
we found that arranging an evening meal on arrival was difficult. this was a challenge though we quickly found an alternative at a local shop.

Our superior double room featured a comfortable bed with quality linens. I slept so well. the bathroom included complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels which were replaced daily. we also appreciated the quiet atmosphere

The restaurant offered an excellent menu with delicious options. The breakfast was amazing. i had the kippers one morning, and they were cooked perfectly, succulent and smoky. the bar had a good selection of drinks too.

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with amazing sculptures to see. A romantic wonderland. free parking was available and easy to access, which simplified our visit. the building is well kept which meant i could relax.

Really good Stay
easy check-in amazing room quality ingredients
The location provided easy access to nearby attractions with a short walk available. The service was really good, I found the staff to be accommodating and friendly. The hotel interiors were decorated beautifully, from soft furnishings to tea sets, and created a fabulous interior.
The parking area lacked dedicated disabled parking spaces, requiring a longer walk from the car.
