guest discount short walk gaming machine
the staff downstairs gave guests a discount. it was a short walk to the tube station. there was tasty food served in the pub. it also had a pool table and a gaming machine.
the carpet looked stained.

bright and SPACIOUS
helpful staff spacious room underground station short walk
i got help from great staff there. the room was bright and spacious. the staff was very helpful. a very good underground station is located nearby, a short walk away.
the room and bathroom weren't very clean, there was some odd litter on the bathroom floor and the shower tray surround looked a bit mouldy.

simple comfort above the pub
clean room fresh towels flexible staff
i found the room to be very clean upon arrival. my towels were fresh, and the bed provided nice support. extending my stay was also easy because the staff was flexible.
The bathroom lacked soap. I was only offered shower gel.

Acceptable Stay Above a Pub
convenient location tube station food quality smell of smoke road noise open vents
The location was convenient for using the tube. I found a tube station just around the corner. A bus stop was right outside the door TOO. The food at the pub below was great.
The room had clearly been occupied by a smoker previously and smelled of smoke. The smell was worse in the shower en-suite. This made it IMPOSSIBLE to get a good night's sleep. The road noise was also bad because the windows had the vents open to try and let the smell out.

charming stay above a lively pub
pizza menu social space
i was actually surprised by the new pizza menu. ana introduced it to us, and the taste was amazing (i really enjoyed the pepperoni!). the addition of a pool table creates a great social space with friends. it was a fun experience.
the bathroom needed better cleaning (i found hair on the floor). it impacted the overall experience somewhat. also, a minor maintenance issue with the radiator not being attached to the wall could be addressed.

the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. the room was quite clean upon arrival. i appreciated how easy it was to access the nearby metro station for quick trips to the city center.
the street outside was a bit noisy at times.
