pleasant riverside getaway

i found the location lovely and the room quiet. i appreciated the tea and coffee facilities (a nice touch for early mornings). the gym had a good sized swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room, and a jacuzzi for relaxation after a long day. i also had easy access to the river thames and the thames footpath, perfect for exploring the surrounding areas.
i did receive a parking ticket despite registering my car at reception. i expected the parking registration to cover my entire stay, but this was not the case and it was an issue for me.

the room included lovely white bedding and fluffy white towels. a mini fridge offered convenient storage for drinks and snacks. plenty of shampoo, hand wash, and body lotion were available in the bathroom.

the breakfast had a great selection, including both continental and cooked options. a selection of freshly made omelettes was also available (the chef was really skilled!). i had one evening meal in the restaurant, and the menu offered good choices.

the staff were friendly and efficient throughout my stay. i observed the hotel supported disability in the community through work experience. i saw staff were conscientious and helpful with all requests.

the riverside location is excellent and close to nice restaurants. it's a short walk to the train station for trips. i had direct access to the river thames and the thames footpath.

parking was easy enough I will say that
the room service was laughably bad I ordered toast and tea but received pain au chocolates a teabag and eventually some barely toasted white bread the staff member insisted it was toast even though it looked like it had barely seen the toaster also the check-in was slow the staff didn't seem particularly warm

The location was okay. I could see the river, acceptable.
The gym was a joke. One treadmill was out of order, and the weights area felt cramped. also, i had issues with the room's temperature control. It was either too hot or too cold, no happy medium. the staff seemed indifferent to the heating issues, just shrugging it off as typical.
